In the last 24 hours Godox have unveiled their new camera flash – the Godox Lux Junior Retro.
The design philosophy behind the brand new flash is to simplify the photography experience for those that aren’t as interested or experienced in on camera flashes. Using the slogan “Keep It Simple”, Godox are positioning their latest offering as an affordable and user friendly on camera flash.
The other angle Godox have been pushing in relation to this new flash is the “retro” look. All of Godox’s marketing on this product is around the retro feel in the design. In design, the “classic” 60s/70s looks of the grey and black trim aesthetic brings out memories in the older generations, and gives a sense of vintage goods to the younger generation. The retro aesthetic is effectively matched with the ease of function – just point and shoot. There’s no LCD screens or wireless setups to worry about, the interactable dials and buttons are positioned much how similar products were made ‘back in the day’. With nostalgia being very popular at the moment in the cultural landscape, this cheap, simple and retro designed flash may be a winner!
We’re excited to see this release from Godox, and will keep you updated when we know more!
